Schedule Preview: Drag Racing and Drifting
One of the most electrifying nights of Mustang Week Texas is back. Thursday night drag racing and drifting returns to the 2027 schedule, bringing tire smoke, big horsepower, and the kind of atmosphere that makes Mustang Week Texas unlike anything else on the calendar.
The previous two years featured dozens of drivers including some of the biggest Ford drifters in the sport like Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Ben Hobson paired with over a dozen up and coming drivers. Whether you’re attending for a ride along or just to experience drifting for the first time, it’s not something you’ll want to miss.
Drag racing will once again feature several classes and is sure to bring out some Fords that are sure to lay down impressive times on the strip. Previously Mustang Week Texas has seen the likes of Brett LaSala and Snot Rocket, Mike Murillo, and some of the most iconic Mustang racers in the sport.
