Poker Run

New to Poker Runs? Here’s how it works:

A poker run is a scavenger-hunt-meets-card-game that lets you explore Mustang Week’s new home, Concord, NC and the surrounding area. This one’s fully digital and runs through the Aces Poker Run app, so there’s no paper, no punch cards, nothing to lose in your cupholder.

To get started, download the Aces Poker Run app, then register for the Mustang Week Poker Run right from your phone. Inside the app you’ll find a list of 15+ stops to visit — and these aren’t your average stops. We’re talking RTR and Roush Fenway Racing for the motorsports faithful, Southern Grace Distillery slinging spirits inside an actual old prison, K1 Speed for high-speed indoor electric kart racing that lets you scratch the competitive itch off the track, and Mac’s Speed Shop dishing out automotive-themed BBQ that hits just right. At each location you check in through the app and collect a card. A poker hand is five cards, so you’ll want to hit at least five stops to build a full hand.

Here’s the good part: there’s no limit to how many locations you can visit, and the more you stop at, the better your odds. The app automatically updates your hand to your 5 best cards as you go.

The run kicks off Monday, August 24 and stays open until Thursday night, August 27, so you’ve got several days to cruise around and explore at your own pace. Throughout the week, an in-app leaderboard shows you exactly where your hand ranks against everyone else. The top 20 poker hands all win a prize, and the prize list is stacked. It includes everything from Mustang Week swag, to a $500 JEGS gift card, to a full set of LMR SVE wheels, all the way up to a grand prize Vortech supercharger system valued at $9,500.

Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Friday afternoon, August 28, in front of the Foxy Events tent on vendor row. Come hang out, cheer on the leaders, and grab your prize if you made the top 20!

Getting Started

• Step 1 – Download the app: Get the Aces Poker Run app on your phone from the App Store or Google Play.
• Step 2 – Register: Open the app and sign up for the Mustang Week Poker Run right on your mobile device.
• Step 3 – Visit the stops: The app lists all locations — a mix of restaurants, attractions, and Mustang/racing-related spots. Check in at each one to collect a card.

Good to know

• What it is: A digital poker run. Visit stops around town, collect cards, and build the best 5-card poker hand to win prizes.
• Build your hand: A poker hand is 5 cards, so hit at least 5 stops to fill one out.
• Stop as much as you want: There’s no limit to how many locations you can visit. The app automatically updates your hand to your 5 best cards, so more stops mean better odds.
• Run window: Starts Monday, August 24 and closes Thursday night, August 27.
• Enable NFC: Check your phone settings and make sure NFC is turned on so your phone can read the tags at each stop.
• Track your rank: The in-app leaderboard shows where your hand stands all week long.
