    Default The Scourge's 2002 Saleen S281SC

Hello, everybody. I hope you're all excited for Mustang Week 2015. For eight years straight I've been driving my trusty 2003 V6 to Mustang Week and back. In January of this year I purchased a second car, a 2002 Saleen S281. She's True Blue just like my V6, supercharged, 5-speed with ~42,000 miles. I am absolutely thrilled to own this car and have decided to bring it down to MW '15. It'll be difficult to leave my V6 sitting at home this year but the timing is right for the Saleen to experience the Myrtle Beach festivities. My plan is to keep this thread updated with pictures as I slowly modify the Saleen to get her ready for July. I have a build thread on SN95Source.com if you're interested in following along in more detail:

Thanks for keeping up with my project and I'm looking forward to MW '15.

A shot of the interior after I swapped in an OEM Saleen/Momo shift knob. Trying to source up some of the old stock stuff like that has proven to be a challenge but it makes finding those rare parts that much more special.

I'm currently working on a little project of getting some additional Saleen gauges in the car. I love the boost/intercooler temp gauges mounted on the dash and I discovered that you can still source other matching gauges from Saleen. I'm going to be mounting oil temp and fuel pressure gauges on the a-pillar and I'm currently in the process of gathering everything I need.

Thanks! I'm the fourth owner so the car has a few subtle things that I've had to restore/replace and it shows it's age in some areas, but overall it was well taken care of and I intend to continue that trend

Looks like I'm the only one registered to compete this year so father/son will be on the same team lol. It's funny though, I took 2nd place to him at a car show just last month.
