Default Project too tough to handle Reverse opening hood for 2005 GT

    Hey all,

The past two years I've been seeking an engineer that would tackle the task of developing hinges for a reverse opening hood for a 2005 Mustang GT. Must use the original hood latch and pull handle. The windshield wiper ducting would have to be extended and routed under the hood heat shield. My car is a show/ everyday driver and would not be available for research.

Want to be able to display the airbrush work on the hood and at same time showcase the engine compartment.
Am a retired soldier working as a contractor so budget is on the poor side.

Would love to see this as a Mustang Week 2014 project.

Look forward to seeing what my friends at The Mustang Week stables can drum up.

I'll be at the Myrtle Beach car show October 5th.

The street rod guys have been doing reverse hoods for years, might be a place to look.

Funny thing is I know of all the other car groupings that have it done. I think I've seen a picture or two of them. All are cool. The only one NOT cool was the 2011 bulky bellcrank hinge.

Challenge still stands and not answered almost 2 1/2 years. Thank you all for posting pictures of reverse opening hoods, but does not get any closer to getting my project completed.

Still no takers. All that has been posted, I've seen before. Like I said I've been searching about two years.
