Is it getting painted with water borne or solvent? I painted my 97 with water because its a lot more flexible for the plastic pieces and it actually ended up a little cheaper. Car looks great though it reminds me of how mine looked in the shop

Not sure. They are using PPG products.

Robert, at Hi-End, said they were painting parts/pieces this week and would be spraying the body first of next week. They'll put it all back together next week and I'll pick it up the second week of April. I can't wait to see it!

Trust me I know the feeling. I still feel that way about mine and the paint is over a year old now, but still never had anything this nice, even on new cars. I know you will be happy with it!

    Default New Paint

The older Cobras have a lot more pieces than the newer ones. We have pieces being held up by vise grips holding other vise grips holding pieces. We even have a jack performing double duty as a holder!

I just heard from Robert and the car is now completely painted. Now the finishing work and reassembly begin. Shouldn't be long now. Hi-End Auto has done a great job on this!

Unfortunately, no. I do have a metal shelter for it to sit under. So, other than dust it won't be directly in the elements. I thought by now I'd have a garage, but there are too many other pressing projects here in our 100 year old home. Maybe one day...
