Default 1991 GT going under the knife again

finally getting the car going again, havent missed a mustang week since 05 but my cars only been down twice and its coming apart again. tomorrow we start with the teardown.

taking out the whole drivetrain. engine, tranny, driveshaft and gas tank. the reason thats all getting removed is so that me and my brother can sanblast and paint the underside before putting it all back together.

as far as upgrades planned along the way:
ill be switching up to the ford contour electric fan setup
    better turbo blanket
    new mcleod hydraulic clutch conversion
    60lb injectors
in line fuel pump to help the 255lph in the tank
and the big one! Dart sportsman block. Turn up the boost!

if i can scrounge enough this spring, i want to do a new gauge cluster as well. ill be throwing up pics as the progress happens

the plan is for the car to make its 3rd appearance at MW and its 1st in the foxbody cruise! I'm back at the shop right now and the car is getting blown out good before we move it from the blast booth to the spray booth. looks like i have a little rot to address on the bottom of the shock towers. gonna get it all in primer and get that welded up before i paint the bay. thinking flat black for now. More pics in an update later today.

alright here of some pics that show the undercarriage blasted, the car masked for paint and then some pics of the primer. top coat goes on monday.

In other news, stock block and all the internals are at the machine shop. the internals are getting re checked for balance and put into a dart sportsman. i cant wait for this summer.

small update: the topcoat is being sprayed right now over the primer shown in the pics above. i just placed an order with latemodelrestoration for the mcleod hydraulic clutch conversion and the weld in smooth fender aprons they offer. still waiting for word from the engine shop on whats going on with the dart short block they're building for me. will update with pics of the body work in the engine bay as soon as possible.

i know its been a slow month or two lol but here are a couple more progress pics. motor is all together at the machine shop and will be fired up for the first time monday or tuesday and the car should really be put back together quickly after that. the only stuff i have left to buy are bigger injectors, an in line fuel pump, header wrap and pay to have the tune touched up at dez racing. here ya go. cant wait to see what it makes

oh dont worry thats the plan. gotta get a video of the motor on the dyno loaded up. unfortunately i dont think im going to have time to break the motor in, get it to dez racing for the bigger injectors, in line fuel pump and another tune before the ride down there so im going to have to break it in with the old injectors in and the old tune so ill have to make due with somewhere around 470whp and 490wtq on 7psi
